This whole thing started with two golden retrievers, Barney & Dude… and if you’ve ever had a golden in your life, you already know — they don’t just live with you, they run the show. Somewhere along the way, it became pretty clear: we don’t make the rules… Goldens do.

That idea stuck — and it became the heartbeat of this brand.

What started as Golden Life has grown into something even bigger, louder, and more true to what this brand has always been about. Goldens Rule Co. isn’t just a name change — it’s a statement. It’s the personality, the attitude, and the joy that golden retrievers bring into our lives, turned into something you can wear.

The Barney & Dude difference

Damaged, Defective, or Misprinted Items

If your item arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, we will gladly send you a replacement at no cost.

Please contact us within 14 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue

Once verified, we’ll take care of the replacement right away.

Wrong Item Received

If you receive the wrong item or design, we’ll correct the mistake immediately.

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we’ll send out the correct item as soon as possible.

Lost Packages

If your package appears lost in transit, please reach out and we’ll work with the shipping carrier to investigate.

If the package is confirmed lost, we will issue a replacement.

Sizing Issues

Please review our sizing chart carefully before placing your order.

That said, if your shirt doesn’t fit quite right, reach out to us within 14 days of delivery. We’re happy to offer a one-time courtesy size replacement for unworn items.

This replacement is limited to one per order and applies to sizing issues only.

Returns & Refunds for Change of Mind

Because each item is made to order, we do not offer refunds or returns for:

  • Change of mind
  • Ordering the wrong color or design
  • Incorrect size (beyond the one-time size replacement noted above)

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Important Notes

  • Do not send items back without contacting us first.
  • Unauthorized returns will not be processed.
  • We do not issue refunds after a replacement has been sent.
